From where I live on the edge of East Texas all the way to West Texas, Eastern New Mexico the sky is really big. And, kind of like the Plains States up North you see the sun rising above the horizon and setting again in the evening... the view is not impeded by hill nor mountain. The best part (at least to me) is that you can see storms coming long before it starts to rain. And often the smell of the rain.
